Insurance

Medicare and Medicaid are accepted at Burbank Rehabilitation Center. Private insurance plans generally cover rehabilitation services that are prescribed by a physician. The HealthAlliance Burbank Rehabilitation Center accepts most major insurance plans including Workers Compensation.

Even if your HMO does not have a contract with HealthAlliance, we will be glad to negotiate on your behalf to obtain approval for your admission to the Center.

Admission

We accept referrals for admission from physicians, healthcare professionals, family members and patients themselves. Simply call us at (978) 343-5660, and a referral nurse will visit the patient and review all medical information to determine eligibility for admission.

The Center offers intensive, multidisciplinary, hospital-level rehabilitation for patients in the North Worcester County and southern New Hampshire areas. We do not accept patients on ventilators, patients requiring telemetry, or severe brain-injury patients. In these cases, we can assist discharge planners in alternative placement.

Directions to HealthAlliance Burbank Rehabilitation Center

From the east:

Take Route 2 West to Exit 32 (Route 13).

1) Take Route 13 north toward Lunenburg until Route 13 ends at Route 2A stoplight (approximately 4.5 miles).

2) Turn left and head west on Route 2A.

3) At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto John Fitch Highway. Follow blue hospital signs and continue to the stop sign at Route 31.

4) Turn left at stop sign. Shortly after turning, watch for HealthAlliance Burbank Hospital up on a hill on the right. Turn right and follow signs for main entrance. Go in main entrance and take elevator to second floor to the Center.

From the west:

Take Route 2 East to Exit 31B (Route 12).

1) Take Route 12 toward Fitchburg for 1.7 miles.

2) Turn right at Bemis Road at traffic light.

3) Proceed through 4 traffic lights and a blinking yellow light until stop sign at Route 31.

Follow directions from #4 above.

From the south:

Take Route 190 North to Route 2 West.

Take immediate first exit (Exit 32) and follow directions #1 - 4 in "from the east."

Ample free parking is available directly in front of the hospital’s main entrance.
