The Highlands

    The Highlands, located on the Burbank Campus, is a facility which provides a number of options for the elderly and disabled patient who can not return home immediately or who may require long term care.  There are several units on the five floors of The Highlands.Highlands.gif (47083 bytes)

    The Transitional Care Unit specializes in short-term rehabilitation and post acute care.  The Special Care Unit is a long-term care unit for the patient who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia or dehabilitating diseases that progressively impair the individual's intellectual, social and self care abilities.  The Long-Term Care Unit is for the patient requiring 24 hour care. The Adult Day Care Unit is for the patient who needs daytime nursing or rehabilitation care and supervision but can return home in the evening.

    Staffed with seasoned health care professionals, the atmosphere at The Highlands is caring and comfortable. The "no visiting hours" policy allows family and friends to visit at all times of the day and evening with a caring staff helping the patient and visitor feel welcome and at home.
