Home Care Services

Home Health Care Reform has placed a strong emphasis on keeping the patient, when medically possible, in the environment they feel most comfortable with and secure in - their home.  In previous years, home care was an adjunct to hospitalization but today it is a positive alternative.

Home Health Care at HealthAlliance includes Diversified Visiting Nurse Association (DVNA) including the Hospice Program, as well as Diversified Medical Equipment (DMES).

Diversified Visiting Nurse Association

Diversified Visiting Nurse Association (DVNA) promotes wellness in a home environment.  Patients receive high quality care including Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy), Medical Social Work and Homemaker/Home Health Aides.

A very important component of DVNA is the Hospice Program.  Hospice is a philosophy of care which supports the dying patient and family and enhances the quality and dignity of each day.  The Hospice Program emphasizes comfort and care at home while controlling pain and symptoms.

Diversified Medical Equipment

Diversified Medical Equipment (DMES) is committed to providing service and equipment in the home.  It includes the delivery of equipment, and teaching the use of, and maintenance of equipment.
